It feels like an adventure, but then at the end of the cave you come across a cliff with the most alluring view of your life, no pictures will ever come close to being as beautiful as seeing with your own two eyes.

Mar Chiquita (or Little Sea) is just that — a small cove of a beach protected from the rough Atlantic by a rocky wall. This picture-perfect beach, located in the town of Manatí.
Mar Chiquita is located in Manatí. Take Route 22 to exit 46 to Route 686 north. Then take Route 685 west to Route 648 north and follow to the end of the road.

This is a great stretch of clean beach with fantastic ocean views. Big waves are to be expected making surfing or boogie boarding possible. Too rough for snorkeling though. Beach combing, relaxing, sunning, and admiring the ocean are the best options. You can scramble up the rock wall under the lighthouse to get a higher perspective of the beach and ocean. We walked out on the rocks by the lighthouse and explored the area some more. Fun way to spend some time.

La Poza del Obispo Beach
This is a great stretch of clean beach with fantastic ocean views. Big waves are to be expected making surfing or boogie boarding possible. Too rough for snorkeling though. Beach combing, relaxing, sunning, and admiring the ocean are the best options. You can scramble up the rock wall under the lighthouse to get a higher perspective of the beach and ocean. We walked out on the rocks by the lighthouse and explored the area some more. Fun way to spend some time.
