Located in the Tryon Foothills. A multi-generational family run 40 acre winery and vineyard with 12 acres under vine. The tasting area is located at the top of the hill and you have a view over the vineyard. The outside tasting area has fans to keep you cool, even when the temperature reaches the 90s. An inside air-conditioned tasting room is available. Live music and food are available. Guests comment, “The scenery is beautiful, the service is great, there is much fun to be had here, but the BEST part is the wine.”
Note: They allow you to bring your own food and beer if you do not drink wine.

The Purple Martin Greenway is Rutherfordton's first natural trail system complete with bustling creek, a waterfall and creative works from local artists. It is currently a 1.4-mile, 10-foot wide paved trail. It also connects to Crestview Park via a half-mile sidewalk.The greenway is a very family friendly place with lots of shade and access points to Cleghorn Creek. The southern section of the greenway has a very nice cascade on the creek. There are multiple picnic shelters. The trail gets great use, you will see many families, dogs, runners and walkers. It is open to cyclists as well.

The Coastal Plain League has fourteen teams in cities throughout North and South Carolina and Virginia. The Owls play at McNair Field, a state of the art baseball par. The field is named after Robert McNair, a Forest City resident and owner of the Houston Texans NFL Football team. The multi-million dollar stadium which has minor league caliber assets and amenities, is owned by the Town of Forest City. Call for groups.
