The Forks Inn is your place for premium quality dining. It has a warm, open indoor fireplace in the wintertime and outdoor seating with a breathtaking mountain view in the summer. The drive is 15 to 20 minutes from the cabin following the hard top back into town, then 5 more miles outside of Elkins. Reservations are highly recommended. If you’re looking for great scenic views and don’t mind the gravel roads, I highly recommend taking “the back way” which follows the river along winding country roads through the Monongahela National Forest. This is a longer drive (approx 30-35 minutes) compared to the hard top route from the cabin, but well worth the time. For directions utilizing the back way, use Google Maps, select the biking button option, and then select the gray alternative route.
