What to do in magical Puerto Vallarta!
El Malecon is our beachside boardwalk and the No.1 attraction in the centre of historic Puerto Vallarta, and less than 10 minute walk from Casa Bella Vista! It's a magical place to be, stretching about 11 blocks with free walking tours, artists, tequila tasting, souvenir shops & the famous Palo Volador by day and street musicians, vibrant bars, clubs & fireworks by night. The colors, the sounds, and aromas, all caste their spell and you can end up just walking around for hours snapping pics, enjoying many tasty flavours from breakfast to late dining or maybe a freshly squeezed juice, icy cold Corona or perhaps a slushy Margarita or two!

It's a must do activity in Puerto Vallarta! Hike the steps up the mountain to “Mirador de la Cruz” A large cross and terrace sit atop the mountain, providing a panoramic view of the Bay of Banderas. This is one of the classic Puerto Vallarta and its right in Casa Bella Vista's neighbourhood!

Puerto Vallarta has one of the best food scenes in the world. Fresh, creative and while Mexican and fusion is my personal fave, there are restaurants featuring flavours for all International Cuisines.
One of our favourite places to eat in Centro Puerto Vallarta, just a few short blocks from Casa Bella Vista...including Guacamole made fresh at your table, lobster tacos and amazing mango margaritas!

End the night at the clubby cigar bar or Constantini Wine Bar, which offers some 50 vintages by the glass as well as distilled spirits, appetizers, and live music most nights of the week.

Just down the street in our Centro neighbourhood is Metate Chocolate & Cafe. Try the Chile En Nogada! (they serve meat and a vegetarian version) The Walnut sauce is incredible. Excellent chocolate too! Many vegan, vegetarian options. Certificate of Excellence!

Camarones Beach (Shrimp beach) is in the heart of Centro Puerto Vallarta. It's a few blocks down the hill from Casa Bella Vista and is awarded the Blue Flag certification, an award given to beaches that are clean, have low levels of pollution (strict standards), offer environmental protection and that have managed to balance human presence without compromising the ecosystem.
Excellent sunbathing beach, you'll also enjoy the food and drinks at one of the many bars and restaurants that are on the shores of this beach.
