Modern interior, great organic produce and hip clientele. This restaurant on the Helvetiaplatz probably serves the best roasted chicken in Zurich. The Breakfast and Brunch options are also highly recommended!

The kitchen is located in former shipping containers and a few little shops surround the garden. Come here for lunch when walking along the Viaduktbögen or at night when the bar opens and live music plays to attract a young, hip crowd.
Not suited for rainy weather or very tight budgets.

Bahnhofstrasse is Zurich main downtown shopping area and one of the world's most expensive to boot. Not surprisingly it's lined with Swiss watch and jewellery vendors, as well as high-end international fashion boutiques

A former viaduct transformed into a "Shopping Mile" with restaurants, fashion, furniture and outdoor sports shops. There is also a big market located in the great hall, where fresh produce and delicatessen are sold. This is a lively spot especially in the afternoon and nights, but you can also have breakfast here.

This is a great little museum that is ADMISSION FREE and has changing, mostly contemporary art exhibitions. We ourselves enjoy strolling along the river and spontaneously pop in for a look at the work. Both international and local artists.

Cute little park close to our Apartment. This is the former botanical garden of the University of Zurich, and it's pretty flowers and calm atmosphere occasionally attract couples and nature lovers, but it is never full or overrun. Admission free

The Sihl river runns down from the Üetliber mountain through the city and unites with the Limmat near the main station. Along this street close to our apartment you can walk along the river, with green grass and tall trees forming a border between nature and the city.
