OK disclaimer: I've worked here for 23 years. But there's a REASON I worked here 23 years - I love this place. The food is phenomenal - the haddock sandwich is a MUST TRY, as is the lobster stew. It's a great place to go on your own, too. Sit at the bar and you'll likely make friends pretty quickly. We have tables inside and outside, our drinks are strong and our food delicious.

This place about an hour north of Portland (20 mins from Bath) but it's a lovely drive. My father was a lobsterman - it was hard to impress him with a quaint setting or a steamed lobster, but this place did it. They have 3 shacks: steamed items, fried or pan-fried items (think fried clams, burgers, etc.) and ice cream. You order your food then go wait at communal picnic tables. Servers see where you are from the numbered boats they give you to place with your party. Watch the boats, birds and fishermen while you eat. And you can BYOB!
