An original in every sense of the word. One of the earliest breweries on the Durham scene, it's been a neighborhood staple since 2010. You can't go wrong with any of their award winning beers but I'm currently loving the Durham 150.

Need a creamy frozen treat? This is THE best ice cream (including vegan and soft serve) in the area. I like Maple View Farms and their view in Hillsborough, but this is the legit thing.

I love 21c and Counting House for their bar. The staff is great, the art can be weird (or absolutely fabulous), and the drinks are always top notch.

This paved trail connects various parts of north Durham with downtown. Travel past Duke Regional, the Bronto at the Museum of Life and Science, and weave your way through the older neighbors surrounding the downtown area.
