We also suggest you la BOTTEGA DI CACIO, where to get your delicious food and a glass of red wine to have it in the nextdoor organized picnic area.

On the way to Siena, just near the freeway exit, you can stop a few moments in this perfecctly preserved Medieval village with its original 1300 defensive wall, including many towers. Just amazing. When you enter the village, the bar on your left seves very nice homemamade panini.

bologna is one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, and it's just 35 minutes away from Florence by train, or one hour by car. I definately suggest you if you have a long stay, to have a nice walk in this town with a very different taste from Florence and Tuscany.
