Venezuelan bar with fantastic arepas, empanadas, and very cold beer! Try the Mariscada (seafood soup) or tostones. Not too crowded and they're always showing the soccer game!

Traditional French menu but very Brooklyn vibes. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Only beer and wine. Its a quick Lyft to get her but worth the trip. We like sitting at the bar. They have brunch too!

Lovely home goods shop on Tompkins Ave. Yummy candles, bath & body stuff, books, posters, home decor and gifty things. Love to stop in here after I've gotten coffee at Sincerely, Tommy.

It's a *little* closer than the Met! World class exhibits like Basquiat, Kahlo, O' Keefe housed in a gorgeous building. At the edge of the Botanic Gardens - easy to make a day visiting both!

It's a little jaunt, but the park is HUGE, offers great views of the Manhattan skyline, and is at the steps of DUMBO (fun to explore) and the Brooklyn Bridge. There are basketball courts, bike paths, places to eat, and grass to sit on! You can hop one the ferries headed to Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Manhattan, or the Rockaways. Or join the throngs of pedestrians/ bikers headed over the Brooklyn Bridge.
