Galway is recognized internationally as a hotspot for seafood, music, art, and festivals. The options available to you here are truly endless, but we thought we’d put together a few recommendations of some musts: Moycullen Country Market: Hosted every Friday at lunch, our gorgeous Moycullen Farmer’s market is at the ready for you to explore, chat, and taste your way around. Galway Food Tours: Locally owned and run business, this tour works with local farmers and producers to offer you the best tastes available in the City of Tribes (Galway). Kelly Oysters: This is a local oyster farm where they sell fresh farmed seafood. Give a ring before going and they might be able to offer you a little tour. If not, you can taste some of their hard work just around the corner at Moran's Oyster Cottage Tig Choili: This local pub is a quiet little escape from busy Shop Street. It offers live music every evening, and the craic is mighty! Other great places to catch live trad music include: Monroe’s Live, Taaffes bar, The Crane Bar, The Quays, and Tigh Neachtain Tigh Neachtain: As a Galway landmark this cozy pub is a must for a cozy pint of a hot whiskey. In the summer, you can also sit outside and bask in the sun as you people watch Galway International Arts Festival: This year the festival will run July 15th - 28th and will showcase an extraordinary amount of talent in the form of music, visual arts, and performance. The big top is a well recognized landmark during this time, and you can hear the music from their mainstage echoing throughout the city. Galway City Museum Ireland: Galway is rich with history, and we proudly offer a free museum to exhibit this glorious history within. Pálás Galway: Looking to catch a flick while you’re over on holiday, or maybe see some Irish independent films? Pálás Galway is a a three-screen independent cinema and a striking bar and restaurant, where you can mingle with your fellow film-lovers.
