About 10 minutes walk, a much bigger Waitrose with much more produce than the nearer Little Waitrose. Both are extremely high quality, but the big one is more of a supermarket.

Another big supermarket which also houses the Post Office, a bit further on past Posh Fish and on the right. It's really good and cheaper prices than the big Waitrose.

A great local park on the left as you leave the shopping area of Headington, opposite the Cooperative Food store. It has an enclosed children's area, and a wide open area for strolling. It also has public toilets by the roadside entrance, which are not very pleasant but serviceable and can be useful with little children in tow.

Bury Knowle Park
178 London RdA great local park on the left as you leave the shopping area of Headington, opposite the Cooperative Food store. It has an enclosed children's area, and a wide open area for strolling. It also has public toilets by the roadside entrance, which are not very pleasant but serviceable and can be useful with little children in tow.

Hospitals
This is one of the best hospitals in the country, a teaching hospital and with excellent research. It is a 3-5 minute walk from our house, and the biggest of the five excellent hospitals in the area. And our house is the perfect place to stay if you are studying there. The other hospitals are the Manor Hospital (2 minute walk), the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, the Churchill Hospital and the Warneford Hospital (all a 10 minute walk) - again all excellent in their field.
