Blarney Castle is well worth a trip. Very easy to get too, use the hop on hop off bus or there is also a direct bus from the city.
The castle boasts the famous Blarney stone which legend says if you kiss you receive the gift of the gab!!!
The grounds are beautiful for a relaxing stroll and Blarney woolen mills is very close for a little shopping or a sip of Guinness in the hotel!

Unfortunately the weather is very unpredictable in Ireland so make sure you always have rain jacket just in case!!
