You need to open a door that looks sketchy and go upstairs. This place has no atmosphere, but the staff and food are great. Probably the most reasonably priced meals in Yellowknife- and my son's favourite spot.

The grocery store actually has a pretty great hot meal counter. You can get fries and chicken for $5.00, and they are actually really tasty!

They have the best tour in Yellowknife, teepees, log cabin lodge and bonfires while you wait for the auroras. They also rent winter gear.

Our winter festival in March, means an ice castle on Back Bay. There is a fee to enter, but it is a fun thing to do.

We have a consensus government so our legislative assembly is round. To respect the culture the ceiling is made of glass carvings reflecting the igloos which were the original homes in the territory.
The legislature also boasts the largest collection of AY Jackson paintings on display.

Great hiking trail in the summer and fall. Be careful in the winter.
Fred Henne Territorial Park
The falls are beautiful. It is a bit of a hike, bring water- don't go off the trail. There are some rocks and large step downs, but the trail is well marked and maintained.

Just about 2 km past the falls on the Ingraham trail, a much easier 1 km hike, falls are really beautiful, fishing is great and it is a flat hike in.

Dogglesding!! What more can you say. Once in a lifetime opportunity to get out and travel the way indigenous people did hundreds of years ago. Great company.
