Great food, coffee and atmosphere. Might be a short wait for a table on Sundays but it's worth it. They serve mouth-watering focaccias on freshly baked bread. There is a great variety of patisseries and freshly squeezed orange juice. *One of the few places around with air conditioning!

Great place, ~7min walk from our place. The have a long menu that has never disappointed us. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have wifi and never make you feel unwelcome if you choose to sit there to write for a couple of hours!
They do better tea than they do coffee, though.

Three of the world's top 50 restaurants are located in Lima. A&G is rated the world's 30th best restaurant! Dining here is quite and experience, set aside at least three hours if you are going to try the tasting menu. You will not be disappointed. *Reservations are a must.

Really amazing Indian food. There are a couple of Mantra's around Lima - this location is the closest to our place (~15min walk) but has a slightly shorter menu. Mantra offers an all you can eat buffet lunch for set price, but in the evening there are only a la carte options available.

The experiment has definitely worked! If you manage not to overeat, take a walk around the trendy neighbourhood of Barranco after.

If you manage not to overeat, take a walk around the trendy neighbourhood of Barranco after.
Quiet cafe with really friendly staff a 5min walk from our place. A great place for good coffee if you need to write some postcards home :)

At the moment these markets are probably the place with the best offer of Peruvian arts and crafts. The markets start directly at the corner with Av. Ricardo Palma. The first smaller ones are the Artesanias Miraflores and Kaypi Artesanias on block 55, followed by the Gran Chimu Handicraft Market, Artesania Señor de Sipan, Gran Chavin, the Cuzco Market, La Portada del Sol and the Inka Market on block 54.
On both sides of Av. Petit Thouars block 52 / 53 are two big handicraft markets where most visitors find all the souvenirs they might want to take back home: the Inka Plaza, opened in 2008 and the Indian Market, which is connected with the Mercado de Indios by a passage full of more stalls.
