Well worth the trip to the Roseland Peninsula and walk along the coastal path out of Portscatho but do book to avoid disappointment. Catch the King Harry Ferry as the quickest way of getting to Portscatho by road. There are some great art galleries and a pub plus cafe's also located in this beachside village.

Well worth the trip to the Roseland Peninsula and walk along the coastal path out of Portscatho but do book to avoid disappointment. Catch the King Harry Ferry as the quickest way of getting to Portscatho by road. There are some great art galleries and a pub plus cafe's also located in this beachside village.

Modern Art is the focus of the gallery. If not to your taste, St Ives is a great place to visit with its many independent traders and fabulous harbour and views out over the sea. The Beach Cafe at Porthminster Beach is a must but book to avoid disappointment.

Shopping
Good selection of shops and market on Wednesday and Saturday's. We like going in by train as the centre of Truro is a 10 minute walk downhill. You can always catch a bus back up to the station from the bus station near the Plaza , close by M&S

Variety of artisan shops with the backdrop of this vibrant harbour.
The Maritime Museum is a good idea on rainy days offering something for everyone.
There are also a plenty of sight seeing trips to be booked from Falmouth such as dolphin watching, ferry trips to Truro (tide permitting). Sea trips to fish or visit the spectacular Helford River, pop over to St Mawes by water taxi-there is plenty to see and do.
We recommend The Greenbank Hotel for afternoon tea or an evening meal if it is a special occasion.

Visit the landmark St Michaels Mount but check tide times for causeway accessibility. The village of Marazion is delightful with artisan shops and several cafes and pub. Vast expanse of beach and walking to Penzance is a possibility from here although allow plenty of time.
