Whilst the food and drinks here are nothing amazing, the setting is beautiful, as is the view. Well worth a pitstop for a wee glass of bubbles or cocktail if your out and about in this neck of the woods.

It is a beautiful walk around manicured gardens with alot of open space for a city antidote. Across from here is also Inverleith Park, which has a good selection of play equipment for kids.

Lots of reasonably high end, but not designer as such. Think Mint Velvet, Hobbs, Jigsaw, French Connection etc.

Jenners! An Edinburgh institution, sold by the Jenners family some time ago (maybe in the 90's?) to House of Fraser. Although it has changed alot since those independent glory days, Jenners is worth a browse for sure. It has a crazy layout due to the fact it was rebuilt after a fire ripped through it and it was rebuilt with this in mind. At Christmas they have the biggest indoor Christmas tree which, as a child, was an amazing sight to behold. A reliable bet for a last minute outfit!

House of Fraser
48 Princes StJenners! An Edinburgh institution, sold by the Jenners family some time ago (maybe in the 90's?) to House of Fraser. Although it has changed alot since those independent glory days, Jenners is worth a browse for sure. It has a crazy layout due to the fact it was rebuilt after a fire ripped through it and it was rebuilt with this in mind.
