This is one of the jewels of Dallas! A hiking/biking trail runs around the lake, the White Rock Trail, and it connects with two other great trails, the Cottonwood Trail and the Santa Fe trail. WRL is beautiful spot, any time of day, any time of year.

The owners are from Panama and Russia, so you get inventive, delicious Latin cuisine (best ceviche in my life) with a Panamanian twist and Russian sprinkles. Truly incredible.

This is one of the best little hideaways of East Dallas. They grow their own herbs and produce, and if you sit outside, you can even pet the chickens. They only serve breakfast and lunch, and it is fabulous!!

Great vegetarian Indian food in a remarkable setting: part garden, part Hare Krishna temple. They don't try to convert you, they just feed you great food, at an incredible price.

They make sushi to order, plus they have a bakery, Chef’s Case, in-store cafe, hot food line, or custom sandwich bar. The food is really amazing. Each day they also run a special "Dinner for Two", with a couple of fantastic options.
