Behind Liberty Cafe down a narrow little passageway with romantic lanterns you'll find a garden and brunch/bakery/coffee shop. Open until 10pm on weeknights in SF, which is quite rare! Favorite spot!

This is the best & largest farmers market in SF. It's a 15 minute hilly yet beautiful walk. Best time is 8-10am on Saturday. Good for groceries/produce, or for eating there. A very real local SF spot.

Sightseeing
You must, must, must climb to the top of Bernal Hill for views of the whole city. This is extra enjoyable if you can make it for sunset. This is a great jog in the morning.

Picnic in Dolores park on a Saturday or Sunday. This is what the locals do nearly every weekend and there is amazing people watching here.

Coffee culture in San Francisco is a big deal. Phil's coffee in the mission is one of the best. Each coffee is made custom. We recommend the Mocha Tesoro but you can't go wrong.
