Family ran, simple and genuine Italian restaurant. Prices are amazingly good for Switzerland. They serve also Mediterranean seafood, that comes weekly fresh from Italy, homemade pasta and good pizzas.

Summer 2021: The place is currently closed.A double national family, half Korean and half Swiss, opened this place of beauty and pleasure. In an historical building of the Old Town, their restaurant is gorgeous and offers great food and drinks. The kitchen is truly a mix of Swiss and Korean hints, with fresh and regional ingredients. Prices are fair for Bern. The place is quite small: better make a reservation. All day long: Korean take-away available.

Slightly upscale for Bern, this fairly good restaurant is in the Kursaal Hotel, one minute walk from home. Freshly prepared Italian food, with some Swiss influence. In the good seasons you can eat in the garden. In the building also an American bar, an Asian restaurant, a Casino and cigarettes, souvenirs and drinks. Nothing is cheap here, quality is good though.

roaming around the small streets of Bern Old City is just beautiful. Look at the buildings decorations and don't miss the many fountains. Privilege the smaller streets on the left and on the right of Kramgasse / Gerechtigkeitsgasse. Ok also if it rains, as most of it has arcades.
