For a special occasion, this bar and restaurant sits on top of a mountain overlooking downtown Phoenix. It is expensive, but the food is great, or just come for dessert or a drink and sit outside by the fire pit. Live music sometimes in the bar.

We love the emerald chicken and the jade chicken, but everything is really good.

Good Greek food, reasonably priced. May want to take it to go and have a picnic as we think they use too much cleaning fluid on the floors and tables.

Beautiful red rock scenes everywhere you look. Take Chapel Road to the right to see the Chapel in the rock with a natural rock sculpture created by nature of Madonna and Child, lots of hiking trails near Bell Rock, Courthouse Rock etc. Be sure to bring water. You may want to buy a red rock pass ($5) in town so you can pull your car over and not get ticketed for leaving it.

Call of the Canyon trail is a beautiful trail that crosses back and forth across a little stream about 11 times. It is fairly flat and is under the towering cliffs of the area. Views are beautiful and forest is magical.

If you want a fully-paved trail, go to the next place you can turn west off 7th Street. You may have to wait for a spot there because there are only about 10 spots.

If you want a fully-paved trail, go to the next place you can turn west off 7th Street. You may have to wait for a spot there because there are only about 10 spots.
You get to see the North, South and West sides of town from the trail. It is not paved, but it is a road that utility vehicles ocassionally use. Road can be slippery at times as the gravel can roll under your feet.
