Fascinating insight into the life of the tin and copper miners in the 19th century. You get to see some of the tunnels and mine shafts and try out for your self how hard it is to split rocks with a hammer. Very different from most national trust experiences

Great place to see farm animals up close - pigs, goats and chickens as well as cows out in the fields. Watch the cows being milked in the evenings. Also great for lunch or afternoon tea- and of course the place to go for the famous Roskillys ice cream. There's a pizza oven and some evenings there is live music

It's a great place to learn to kayack. The bay is calm and protected and the owners keep a watchful eye on anyone who goes too far out of the harbour and will soon be there with an inflatable dinghy to tow you back to the harbour if you drift beyond the buoys.
