Amazing Jewish bagels and deli with good coffee just a short few blocks. When you leave Catherine St, turn right onto Brighton Avenue and take the 2nd left onto Pitt Street. Follow it down to Forest Ave. Keep on going, once you have gotten your fill and head straight down Pitt to Baxter Blvd to enjoy the lovely Back Bay.

If you want to stroll the Woodfords-Oakdale neighborhood and enjoy great cocktails and a decent meal, this is less than a ten minute walk away. We love the kale frisee radicchio, deep fried brussels, mussels and fries and on Friday night, the skate special is out of this world. Have never been disappointed in a cocktail there.

660 Forest AveIf you want to stroll the Woodfords-Oakdale neighborhood and enjoy great cocktails and a decent meal, this is less than a ten minute walk away. We love the kale frisee radicchio, deep fried brussels, mussels and fries and on Friday night, the skate special is out of this world. Have never been disappointed in a cocktail there.
Favorite walkable coffee shop. Special vibes and people.

Take a right on Brighton and keep going until you cross the overpass and see Deering Oaks park on your left. Enjoy the Saturday morning Farmers Market (seasonally), wading pool, festivals, playground, plenty of oxygen and local flavor plus every type of sports court/field you could want within a few footsteps.

If you feel like cooking in or even getting some prepared meals and warming them here in the apartment, Rosemont Market has a beautiful selection of local produce, fish, meat, flowers, bakery, wine, microbrews, kombucha and truly anything a Portland foodie could want. It is also a favorite stop when packing for a picnic at the beach.

It is also a favorite stop when packing for a picnic at the beach.
Sightseeing
This is an absolute favorite spot for trail walking, Frisbee tossing, dog walking, kid park playing and all around recreating in Portland. It is breathtaking and sacred and special. Dogs can almost always be off leash on the beach to the right of the boat launch at the bottom of the Prom. Enjoy it while you are here, if you can.

Eastern Promenade Trail
Eastern PromenadeThis is an absolute favorite spot for trail walking, Frisbee tossing, dog walking, kid park playing and all around recreating in Portland. It is breathtaking and sacred and special. Dogs can almost always be off leash on the beach to the right of the boat launch at the bottom of the Prom. Enjoy it while you are here, if you can.

Cobblestone streets lined with bars, so many great restaurants that you literally can't go wrong, night clubs, live local music, waterfront and many different types of entertainment. It is $7-9 dollars to take a Lyft back home when you are ready.
