Really nice pub/bar with big terrace. Perfect for a sunny day or a nice wine on a gloomy evening. Dishes are a little less plain. More use of seasonal products. Good price. They have great beers as well!

It’s a little bit further, but nice if you go more to the west side of Amsterdam. There’s a nice mix of cultures in the neighbourhood. Great breakfast and lunch. Good terrace on the Square on a sunny day.

This is a hidden gem around the corner, in the middle of a quiet neighborhood. Sort of a livingroom diner. They serve great food with products of the season and if you like, a sweet cocktail :)

Great movie theatre with all movies in original language! It's in the middle of the centre so great to combine with dinner, lunch or shopping afternoon.
They also have 4DX!!! Allround movie experience with moving chairs.

A bar next to a kids playground! Great combination. You can have a nice beer or wine, while watching you kids having fun at the playground. Fences all around, so a good place for the little ones.

Line 2 takes you everywhere in the city centre and is just a 3 minute walk from our home!

I wouldn't recommend to go see Amsterdam by car, but if you are visiting by car and you don't want to pay for parking (very expensive!!), you can drive to 'Laan van Vlaanderen'. A 5 minute drive from our house. Parking is still free in this neighborhood and you can take line 2 (tram) to 'Hoofddorpplein' to get to our home again.
I would highly recommend this option if you are traveling to Amsterdam by car, but are not planning to use it during your stay.

Laan van VlaanderenI wouldn't recommend to go see Amsterdam by car, but if you are visiting by car and you don't want to pay for parking (very expensive!!), you can drive to 'Laan van Vlaanderen'. A 5 minute drive from our house. Parking is still free in this neighborhood and you can take line 2 (tram) to 'Hoofddorpplein' to get to our home again.
I would highly recommend this option if you are traveling to Amsterdam by car, but are not planning to use it during your stay.
If you would like to rent a boat (be sure you can handle it :), boaty.nl is a good site to make reservations for reasonable price. It's a great way to discover Amsterdam!
