Really easy hike..on the ocean, so nice views. In the summer a great spot for having a picnic or party. In winter, you park outside the gates and walk or snowshoe in.

Excellent events throughout the summer. Tour the old sea captains houses and displays of how they lived. The museum has a gallery too with planned events. Learn about Searsport's maritime history. Very interesting. Searsport was a major hub for the Tall Sailing ships before the steam engine with cargos from the orient. The downtown architecture still supports the old sea captain mansions.

Searsport is well know for it's summer flea markets and antique stores. Captain Tinkhams downtown has a little be of everything, but a lot of people like to view old tools. Searsport's Lions club sponsors a weekend auction and flea market where you can get great bargains.

Also Steamboat gas where Dunkin Donuts is located has a little market, and is a great place to fill up your car and select a very good car wash too. Across the street from Toziers is a really great laundry. Toziers makes a very good pizza too. Keep in mind this is not a pizza Mecca like New York or Chicago. For the best New York Pizza, you'll need to go to Ellsworth to Finelli's. Wow, they are great.

Across the street from Toziers is a really great laundry. Toziers makes a very good pizza too. Keep in mind this is not a pizza Mecca like New York or Chicago. For the best New York Pizza, you'll need to go to Ellsworth to Finelli's. Wow, they are great.
Food Scene
I love their oysters on the half shell. Very small but really great place to go.

Excellent food menu. Relaxed sports bar. Family oriented. Sit with the locals or in a booth or window front table. I love their appetizers and their fish sandwich with fries. They also have local and specialty brews. But so many good things. Try 'em all.

They have the best pizza locally. Their specialty is greek pizza, but they also have sandwiches. They are also nicely priced. Don't waste your money on the place called, Somewhere in Belfast. Although if you like wines and salads. Somewhere is a good place but so pricey. Get out your charge cards if you plan to go to Somewhere, but Alexia's is really the place where the locals go and is a delight.

Don't waste your money on the place called, Somewhere in Belfast. Although if you like wines and salads. Somewhere is a good place but so pricey. Get out your charge cards if you plan to go to Somewhere, but Alexia's is really the place where the locals go and is a delight.

There you can view the islands off Maine coast as well as the western Maine Mountain ranges which houses Mt Katadin. You can also view Acadia National Park from there. The scenery is awesome.

You can find cruises in Belfast at the harbor, Rockport harbor as well.
A beautiful view of the area on top of the mountain. A nice moderate hike too. Climb up the stairs to a lookout in the old fort tower. I love Battie. I recommend with your family to take the hike up the mountain through the woods. It is really a fun hike.

Everything Else
Downhill night skiing. During the day, tubing is really fun. If you have never skied at night, this is a great experience. Bring your picnic basket or snacks. Really no restaurants close by that I can recall. It is easy to get to from Searsport.
