The Merchant Tavern is actually a great restaurant but I like going for a drink, sitting at the central bar, and people watching. Try a gin & tonic made with locally made Third Place Tonic water.

This is the spot to get those classic 'from above' shots of St. John's. Also, the place where Marconi received the first wireless signal. If you have an hour, hike the North Head Trail that connects Signal Hill with the Battery.

Parks & Nature
I love having the East Coast Trail so close to home. This path is challenging but worth it. Trail heads are by the Marine Centre in Logy Bay and in Quidi Vidi.
