Walking distance from the house. Grassy area for picnic or head straight to the beach! There's also a kids playground if you have little ones and volley ball nets just a block further down on the beach for public use.

Easy hike for all levels, right on the coast, can walk down to the beach as well as up in the reserve. There's parking on the 101 if you can find it otherwise you can pay to park in the state parking lot.

This whole strip of shops in Encinitas is fun. CULTURE is a local tap room. Many of the eateries, restaurants and shopping on these few blocks between Gst and Est are fun to visit!

This is a very nice hotel in Del mar. During the day they've got a beautiful outside bar for drinks. Many nights they have live music in their lobby bar as well. I've never eaten here but I hear they're great!
