Parks & Nature
It has a parking lot and if you're up for an all day hike you can go all the way to the Hollywood Sign! Surprisingly not as crazy packed with people as one might assume. Lots of benches to, drinking fountains, and look out points.

Unfortunately this area is not within walking distance to our apartment but it's definitely worth mentioning. Also known as the Culver City Steps, they have street parking as well as a parking lot at the very top. I like to park at the top and walk down and then take the stairs back up to my car. Or you can park on the street and walk up the stairs and then come back down when you're ready. Lots of seating up top, spectacular view, especially right before sunset!

Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook
6300 Hetzler RdUnfortunately this area is not within walking distance to our apartment but it's definitely worth mentioning. Also known as the Culver City Steps, they have street parking as well as a parking lot at the very top. I like to park at the top and walk down and then take the stairs back up to my car. Or you can park on the street and walk up the stairs and then come back down when you're ready. Lots of seating up top, spectacular view, especially right before sunset!
Maybe a 15 minute drive away from our apartment, street parking all around the lake. There is a walking path, a cafe, peddle boats, a playground, and lots of places to sit on the grass. A very peaceful place, with lots of birds to admire.

It can get a little crazy at times but if you've never seen the famous Boulevard now is your chance, as it will only take you 20 minutes to walk to the Chinese Theatre from our apartment, which is where all the excitement is! They have everything from MAC to Guess and every gift shop in between.

They have everything from MAC to Guess and every gift shop in between.

You can walk here from our apartment, however it's a little further than the Gelson's. It's a smaller grocery store with select brands and private labels. I am able to get the majority of my grocery shopping done here.
