Great food! Whiskey bar/restaurant with locally sourced small plates that are easily sharable. No reservations so on busy weekends there is a wait but perfect on a weekday for delicious food and great drinks! Vegetarian friendly. Need an Uber from the house but worth the short trip.

You can access the Bayou trails from the heights walking path although easier to park along Allen Parkway and hop on the trail. Trail winds through recently renovated landscape with a dog park. Tree lined paths for bikers, runners and walkers all along the Buffalo Bayou.
