Valvasor has a delicious higer-range food offer and great wine, and surprisingly, you can eat a lunch menu there between 12-14 hrs for about 12 euro during the week. Its nice to sit outside in the midst of the old town buildings.

Not a cafe, but a TEA place and shop. The place which made half of the country start drinking tea and because of which many Slovenians keep entire kitchen cupboards packed with tea. Black, green, white, herbal, fruit, sweet, refreshing, hot, creamy... a tea for any taste.

Sightseeing
The castle offers beautiful views, a museum, a very high tower, good coffee and a higher range restaurant. Views are also beautiful in the evening, when the lights go up. Can you spot our house? :)

The nicest way up to the castle. You walk up the quiet harry-potter style streets (are we in a city?) and walk past old buildings with secluded gardens. Towards the top, beautiful views start opening up.

The view is amazing and you can rest in the beach chairs. If you get lost, don't hesitate to ask locals where to go!
