This sento (public bath) is great! I go there once a week. They have both indoor and outdoor baths. Bring a towel and it will cost only 460 yen. Every day the main bath has a different flavour (the apple bath has apples floating in it!). The staff speak English so if you have any questions please ask them!

Food Scene

Awesome restaurant! Great experience and reasonable prices. They have all fresh food laid out on the bar counter and you can choose what you would like to eat. No English, but no problem. If you see something you like, just point at it. The staff are really nice. But go early before they run out of everything.

If you're looking for ramen for breakfast, Kitakata is the place to go. This delicious, light, Fukushima-style ramen is only served from 7am until the soup runs out (sooo busy at lunchtime!). Get the shoyu (soy sauce base) style!

Drinks & Nightlife

Lively street market, which at nighttime turns into a multitude of standing bars and delicious yet cheap places to eat. This is where the salaryman goes for a reasonably priced night out with the cohorts. Great fun, great people. Say hello!

Shopping

A street of small artisanal stores under the train tracks, selling everthing from leather goods and bags, to shoes and jewelry. High quality handmade craft goods from all over Japan. Definitely the best place in Tokyo to buy souvenirs and also have the opportunity to give back to the community that creates them.

Kappabashi is a very traditional wholesale commercial kitchen supply area. So much so that some shops are still only wholesale only. There are lots of shops selling high quality cooking equipment, knives and various other utensils, as well as shops selling (super expensive!) made to order imitation plastic food.

Shinokachimachi is almost as close as Inaricho station, and is on the Toei Oedo line which goes direct to Ryogoku (Sumo Stadium and Edo Tokyo Museum), Roppongi and Shinjuku. It's really quick and the easiest way to get to Shinjuku! Nishi-shinjuku station is inside Shinjuku station.
