We eat at Harrigan's often, and it is always a great experience. It is a vibrant and busy Irish pub with great atmosphere. Good for groups. Good pub food. It is a well organised bistro and normally has lots of staff on during busy times, and our experience is that the food is always good and fast. Definitely recommend making a booking, as it is popular. Just down Broke road next to Hunter Valley Gardens.

Friendly country public pool. Great for families and has a kids pool. Park in Sperry street and it is just around the corner. Has a ramp into the main pool to make it easy and it starts shallow and ends up over 3 metres deep so something for everyone. Plenty of shaded areas for the little kids.

A classy vineyard and cellar door. The wine is on the high end of the price range, but is only available via the cellar door. The winemaker makes good and sometimes interesting variations of wines. All the wines are grown and made on the estate.

A great winery and cellar door only a stones throw from our house. While they take group bookings it isn't one of the mass production wineries and has a welcoming and homey feel.
