A trip to the Alamo is a must see! There is so much history displayed which makes it memorable and interesting. Great for photos. The trees surrounding the property are amazing.

The district is converted from an old brewery, combining new and old elements for a unique spin. Visit during the weekend to experience the farmer's market and its fresh produce and snacks. Make sure to stop for a drink at Hotel Emma, featuring one of the best bars in San Antonio.

This is a very pretty area to visit, filled with some amazing old houses. We toured one of the properties, which is open to the public, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Only about a 25 minute drive up I-35 to San Marcos and the mall. It has all the name brands and many more. You might find some great deals.

Small intimate theater where you can order lunch or dinner to enjoy while you watch your movie. Theaters are small and they fill up fast so buy your tickets on line or get there early. The popcorn is bottomless and is so good!

You will love this water park! Schlitterbahn New Braunfels is the original water park resort. Deep in the heart of central Texas, Schlitterbahn grew out of the spring fed river and German heritage of the Hill Country. There is petting zoo, monkeys, turtles, camel, lions, jaguars, etc... You get to see the animals up close unlike most zoos.
So much fun, clean and the water park is great! Be prepared to get there early and to do a lot of walking.

They do not serve food, not even munchies, but they do allow you to bring food in. We got take out from the Hard Rock Cafe, next door. Others were ordering pizza. Don't go for the food, go for the entertainment! You'll be glad you did!"

Great little museum. Extremely friendly hosts. They will give you a great history of what you will see and how the San Antonio fire department started as a volunteer organization and then businessmen to a full-time organization to the large organization it is today.
They have some equipment from the old days thru the years and today.
Great opportunity to pose in fire gear.
Great place for kids of all ages.
Great pics of firefighting through the years. Honors for those that have fallen during the history of the SA fire department.
This could grow into even a better place in time.
