Sala Palatului (Palace Hall) is the most renowned conference and concert center in Bucharest, Romania. Situated behind the Calea Victoriei Royal Palace, it was built in 1960 on top of "Casa Noua" (New House).
"Casa noua" was a royal residence which was demolished during the German bombardment during the Second World War. In this building Admiral Ion Antonescu was arrested during the events of 23 August 1944 when Romania was put under communist rule.

Sala Palatului
28 Strada Ion CâmpineanuSala Palatului (Palace Hall) is the most renowned conference and concert center in Bucharest, Romania. Situated behind the Calea Victoriei Royal Palace, it was built in 1960 on top of "Casa Noua" (New House).
"Casa noua" was a royal residence which was demolished during the German bombardment during the Second World War. In this building Admiral Ion Antonescu was arrested during the events of 23 August 1944 when Romania was put under communist rule.
This building is the main building of the CEC Bank. It started being built on 8th June 1987, in the presence of King Carol I and Queen Elisabeth.
Until 1875 it used to be "Saint John the Great" Monastery and Inn, which dated since the XVI century. This monastery was restored by Constantin Brancoveanu in 1702 - 1703, then degraded, being demolished in 1875.
The current building was build by Paul Gottereau, with XIX century French architecture elements.
It was finished in 1900.

Cismigiu is a wonderful park situated less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment. It's situated around the lake with the same name, giving it the most stunning views during all seasons.
You can also see birds, different fauna, have a bite to eat or a quick drink.
I also recommend the boat ride! (not really during winter)

Bulevardul Regina ElisabetaCismigiu is a wonderful park situated less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment. It's situated around the lake with the same name, giving it the most stunning views during all seasons.
You can also see birds, different fauna, have a bite to eat or a quick drink.
I also recommend the boat ride! (not really during winter)
Herestrau Park is amazing. One of the best places to relax in Bucharest.
It has special areas for bikes, roller skaters & skateboarders. Also great places to eat.
If you are in Bucharest Herastrau is a must visit!

Stefan Luchian (1968 - 1916) was an iconic Romanian painter. Named "the flower's plastic poet", Luchian inovated the Romanian painting by changing the painting light effects, which is evident in all his paintings.
