You literally cannot go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu here. Amazing breakfast and brunch menu. Gets a bit on the chilly side at night because all seating is outdoors; bring a coat.

If you're going to cook, go get your ingredients here. There's a fresh fish vendor who sells sushi-grade catches of the day, a cheesemonger, a breadmaker, egg vendor...literally anything you need.
Opens at 2:00 pm on Saturdays but go after 2:30. The fish guy is usually late and it's worth waiting for him.

The best sushi in San Diego. Tucked away in a tiny little parking lot behind a 7-11. You'd never find it or suspect it's as good as it is. Japanese tourists go to Ota. It's THAT GOOD.
