Be prepared for a long wait to this West Asheville favorite and know that the food is so good, it will be worth it. If the weather is nice, grab your coffee there and stroll through their kitchen gardens while you wait to be called. I highly recommend their Bloody Mary and Mimosa!

This tiny restaurant has good Thai food. I like to grab food to go from here for a casual night in, the dining atmosphere is not great. The inside of this restaurant is plain and a little cramped, but the food is so good and the porch area is nice. I highly recommend the appetizer platter.

All their tacos are fantastic and they have a nice outdoor eating area. The plantain tortillas are my favorite. One taco might be enough for a meal, but if you're hungry you may want two.

These guys make some fantastic craft beers. I highly recommend trying whatever seasonal something they've come up with. Ask for a taste before you go all in on a pint. They get creative with their brews and it might not taste like you expect.

Great bike shop! Wonderful service, locally owned for years. They know their stuff. I bought my Rocky Mountain bike here and I take all my bikes for repairs.

This high end community feels a little like walking around on a movie set. Everything is perfectly manicured and beautiful. There's an REI and you'll find some good bars and restaurants here.

Wonderful brewery doing good things for the environment and community. Sit by the French Broad river while you enjoy one of their many fine beers. The tasting room closes early at 7pm, so don't plan on a late night visit.

My place is just one mile away from the Arboretum. It has acres of cultivated gardens and trails. In the winter, they have a spectacular winter lights exhibit.
