This a beautiful park on the side of the Jura just a few minutes away from the apartment. There is a restaurant, mini-golf, a small petting zoo, several playgrounds, nice walks with great views, and even the largest Adventure Parc in Switzerland. A great place to spend the day as a family.

You can walk down the lake to Rolle Castle. There is a great playground right on the water for the kids. A bike and skateboard park. Open green space. Football field. All in the shadow of a beautiful medieval castle.

You can rent paddle boards, peddle boats, etc., play in the sand, and the water stays shallow for a 100meters or so, so it's a great place to swim and play in the water. There are also publicly accessible grills and several food options along the beach.

Lac de Joux is a beautiful mountain lake about a 45 minute drive up into the Jura mountains. Great for a swim or to hike around the lake.

A grassy beach just outside of Lausanne. You have to pay to enter, but there is a great outdoor swimming pool right on the shore of the lake with spectacular views of the Alps.

Really well done and modern museum portraying the life and work of Charlie Chaplin in his family estate. There's a beautiful view of the lake and Vevey is a town also worth exploring.
