This is my favorite spot in California. I always see whales and dolphins here and you can take a short hike to the top of an overlooking peak and feel like you are on top of the world.

An easy flat hike with endless beauty and water is the Bridge To Nowhere. A short drive away. There is bungee jumping on the weekends, and on a hot day it’s a great retreat from the

Year round They have workout gym equipment outside and the puppies run around wild every day off leash. It’s a good spot to study or read a book. Grab lunch at erewhon and walk over.

An epic spot to hike for the day - they filmed tons of sci fi movies here including Star Trek and the Flinstones. This is the closest jumping off point of the PCT and how to see it, and be on it, within just over an hour.

If you are staying here for a month or so and have some time for big day trips - head up scenic 395 to the tallest mountain in the continental USA. If you're fit you can climb some of the way or all of it.. if you just want to check out the portal store that's pretty epic too.
