There are three rail trails to choose from: to Te Aroha, to Thames, and through the Karangahake Gorge. All of them are awesome and can be either walked or cycled

After a trek up Mt Te Aroha, a soak in a private pool at the Mineral Spas is a must-do. There's also a public pool in the area and a great coffee spot!
