A one hour drive from Reykjavík. Hot area. Very beautiful to walk there. It can be a short trip (3 hours) You can also extend it and drive to the Blue lagoon if you have reserved a swim there. Or you could drive to Grindavík and check out the soup/coffee by the harbour.

This place is one hour by car from Reykjavík city and it is beautiful. This pool is cozy and in Hveragerði you could also check out the art museum Listasafn Árnesinga, Hveragerði is the "greenhouse town" of Iceland, you could have a peak inside, and there is a nice bakery named Almar.

ReykjamörkThis place is one hour by car from Reykjavík city and it is beautiful. This pool is cozy and in Hveragerði you could also check out the art museum Listasafn Árnesinga, Hveragerði is the "greenhouse town" of Iceland, you could have a peak inside, and there is a nice bakery named Almar.
A colour popping experience, nice to go there for a part of a day, explore the exhibition by Shoplifter (works with installations with fake hair). And have a sit down at the caffe overlooking beautiful nature in the valley, Elliðarárdalur. Only 10 min drive from downtown Reykjavík.
