Dixies has the best steaks in town. The restaurant hosts a lot of tours so booking is advisable. The Dutch owners have had the restaurant in the family since it opened. I've been in the area for almost 40 years and the food standard has remained consistently high.

There are so many interesting displays with a history of Simon's Town from centuries ago. The museum staff are very friendly and knowledgable and always ready to help.
Ask about the ' Ghost Walk' tours. There are a lot of haunted buildings in Simon's Town !

Visit the friendly club for a round of golf on the 9 hole links course and then have a traditional South African breakfast at the club. Jacky's catering has the most reasonable prices in town and there is an a la Carte menu as well.The club has a well stocked bar as well. Visitors very welcome.
