Great Turkish desserts tavuk göğsü, kazandibi and aşure also some food is available. They use bufallo milk and their desserts are thicker than normal.
ps: Tavukgöğsü and kazandibi are non-vegetarian.

Although their ice-cream is popular I like the "boza" here. A unique malt drink made of maize and sugar. It is very thick and drunk with cinnamon and generally accompanied with roasted chickpeas.

This baklava and pastry shop has some of the best pastries in Istanbul including su boreği (cheese börek) , zeytinli açma (olive paste pastry) and superb çikolatalı açma (chocolate pastry).
