You enter the 'Black Cat Mini Market', walk to the back, open the silver fridge door and voila! Its a great bar. They also serve reasonable simple bar burgers and bowls.

Traditional Indonesian wooden buildings have been redrafted to create a lovely casual restaurant with lots of character. Owner is a delight, staff very lovely. Good gift shop at entrance too.

Local recommendations are the Samadhi organic market on a Sunday morning, and breakfast at Lifescrate Cafe!
Canggu is safe, but like everywhere, be careful of your belongings, and pay extra attention on the roads and footpaths - they are a little more chaotic in places than you are probably used to!
