Food Scene
Great atmosphere, awesome owner (his name is Ivan - just ask for him! he's always around and great), homemade pop tarts that are delicious and it's a great place to sit outside and have an iced coffee or glass of wine over the summer outdoors by the pier. Also they have delicious coffee drinks that mix everything from white chocolate to 4+ shots of espresso and other crazy ingredients! And like I mentioned.. right by the gorgeous pier too!

Nitrogenated ice cream - sounds like a gimmick.. I know. However their green tea ice cream topped with homemade matcha green tea kit kat bars (yes like the candy! but green tea version - they're so good alone I would come here for them) and matcha powder dusted on top is beyond delicious! Plus you get to watch them nitrogenate the ice cream in front of you and the flavors vary monthly with 2-3 staples always there such as the green tea.

I'm from Texas and miss Tex-mex every day but this place satisfies my craving when I have one!! I'm not vegan but grew up with a vegan parent so while I still eat meat - I love vegan meals almost more so than "regular" ones. Wild Ginger has been a staple in my life since I moved here as a GREAT go-to all vegan pan-asian restaurant with wonderful food and also is great for delivery! Highly recommended - even for non-vegans!!

Getting Around
L train runs directly into Manhattan from this station. A 10-15 min walk from the apartment and take the train heading into Manhattan direction and the first stop you're already in the city at 1st Ave in the East Village! Less than 2 minutes and already in the city :) Continue a total of 3 stops and you'll be in Union Square where there's tons of shopping, dining, farmer's markets during the afternoon and more!

Go see a show down the street at one of Williamsburg's iconic music venues less than a few blocks away! Be sure to check the calendar in advance of your stay just in case you want to book tickets ahead of time for a particular artist :)

One of BK's last DIY venues with an always great line-up of bands you'll be hearing about breaking in years to come! One of my favorite go-to music spots. Hidden away behind an unmarked door, you'll know you're at the right place when you look up and see several or more people outside on the terrace having a good time between band sets. Open the door to find a semi-intimidating staircase immediately and sharply angled with short steps with someone at the top to check ID and purchase tickets.

Open the door to find a semi-intimidating staircase immediately and sharply angled with short steps with someone at the top to check ID and purchase tickets.
With a skateboarding ramp located in the front and visible by window when walking by, this small bar definitely is a good go-to when everywhere else is packed to the point of frustration. Although it does get busy and crowded, it's never so overcrowded to make you turn away as some other bars might get in the area on a weekend night. Check out the skateboarders while having a drink and listening to fun music.
