One of my favorites and a short walk away. They don't take reservations so it's best to get there early. You can always eat at the bar which is a great place to hang out. Try the House Pizza.

If you want to get out for a quick breakfast I'm only a few blocks away from Einstein Bagels. Good for lunch too.

One of my favorite breakfast spots. Nice ambiance, great egg scrambles and oatmeal. Good food for lunch and dinner too or just coffee and a morning bun. Nice outdoor area when weather permits.

A nice shopping and dining area. On the north end there's Trader Joe's, Pasqual's restaurant, and Barriques Coffee. South there's Colectivo and Michael's Frozen Custard.

The UW has lots of paths for walk/run/bike activities. Picnic Point is great walk with a great view of the city and lake. You will have to pay for parking on weekdays.
