From the owners of Maximo Bistro. Lalo! promises more than the average grab-a-slice experience. Potato, rosemary and truffle oil pizza, inspired by a trip to Puglia, will be on the menu, along with striped sea bass served with caramelized onions and gremolata, salads using lettuce from the Mexican region of Xochimilco and suckling pig in salsa verde paired with a Mexican succulent known as verdolagas.

Delicious hamburgers with four kinds of ketchup, douse their fries in truffle oil, offer a whole menu dedicated to the gin and tonic (another Mexican obsession), and serve a surprisingly good veggie burger. The burgers are named after musicians—the “Bowie” features roasted poblanos, guacamole, fried tortilla strips, bacon, and Swiss cheese, while the “Zappa” has foie gras and caramelized onions.

Once the home of Mexican Communist Party founder M. N. Roy, this breathtaking space by world-class architects Emmanuel Picault and Ludwig Godefroy is reason enough to visit the trendy Roma neighbourhood. But add to this the best local DJ talent, a 7am closing time, a tequila-stocked bar and an ultra-glamorous crowd, and the result is one of Mexico City’s hottest and most exclusive nightclubs. Once inside, you’ll find cathedral-height ceilings, black basalt, sweeping geometric lines and a spartan, futuristic feel

The nightlife is doomed to fleeting. Opening doors suddenly closed. Only a few places exceed the ephemeral and, for some mysterious reason, spend years being fashionable, like Leonor, Felix or M.N. Roy. Now is the turn of Mono. An old house in Colonia Juarez is the place where the party begins.

With the intention of creating a gallery in Mexico City to represent contemporary artists, three friends decided to open the gallery Kurimanzutto. The idea was conceived by the artist Gabriel Orozco, who lived in New York, Jose Kuri, who at the time was studying an MA in Columbia, and Monica Manzutto, Kuri's wife, who worked at the prestigious Marian Goodman Gallery. They started with offices in the Condesa Buildings on Mazatlan Street. The architect Alberto Kalach handled the architectural project in a house in San Miguel Chapultepec. Now representing important artists internationally.
