Sightseeing

...Because Fairfax was the birthplace of Mountain Biking, and the whole history is here, from the invention of the bicycle right on through. Lots to learn about the role bicycles played in liberating women, and cyclists will love seeing the epic mountain bikes from the beginnings on.

If you want to go to the beach, this is less than a half-hour drive away. Cyclists are common on this route --straight out Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, up over White's Hill, and straight on to the ocean. Or Bus 68 from Fairfax will get you there in 46 minutes. The Visitor Center is great, and lots of beaches to choose from. Our favorite is Limantour.
