Diverse exhibitions that change regularly, lots of craft. But this is also our local arts cinema and theatre so worth checking their website for listings.

Really well-stocked and friendly health food shop for all your more puritanical foody/cosmetic needs! Fresh fruit and veg, salad bar, milk in returnable real glass milk bottles, local produce and in the summer local flowers. There's a lovely cafe upstairs too (good turmeric lattés – ask for 'added fire'!)

There's a lovely cafe upstairs too (good turmeric lattés – ask for 'added fire'!)
Beer & books. Great down-to-earth atmosphere. You can take your own food in, enjoy a drink and a browse in their good selection of cheap books. Highly recommended for days and nights.

Very friendly family-run laundrettte. Whoever is working will help explain the services available. Brilliant because it is now open on Sundays and will accept cards for payment.

Incredible panoramic views out into the bay. Look across to St Mawes and Flushing and see 'Fraggle Rock' lighthouse. You really get a sense of why Falmouth was a significant naval site here. You also have impressive views into Falmouth docks – a fully working site. Worth a visit to the castle (English Heritage) but also just a walk or drive around the point on a sunny evening. Buy fish and chips and pull up / take a break in the car park midway and watch the sun set. Rarely as busy as you expect it to be and always awe-inspiring, even if you lived here nearly 20 years. Ice-cream vans conveniently placed to put your kids into a frenzy…

Parks & Nature
Great local town beach. Extremely easy to get to and good catering there (cafe, bakery, sports equipment hire, icecreams). Generally very safe for swimming (but cold!) and there are rock-pools and bouncy castles to keep the kids happy.
