Amager Standpark is one of the biggest perks of living on Amager: in the summer it offers a great beach, perfect running routes (about 8-9 km. run from our apartment to there and back), other sport activities, and a promenade filled with icecream shops and coffee stands. During winter the brave persons can consider to go winter swimming at Helgo Land. From the park you can see Sweden when it's not foggy.

Kalvebod Fælled is like Amager Fælled only on steroids. Even larger and with even more animal wildlife. Look out for the information centre at the entrance to the area, where you will find equipment for more activities like treasure hunts and bug catching. Consider bringing a bike as the area is so big and it's a nice way to experience some nature.

There you will find a fide selection of fresh produce, as well as a large number of small cafes and restaurants offering either to-go or sit-in. Recommendations include Ma Poule's confit de canard, Fiskekajen's fish'n'chips, cake from Café Rosa, sensational spices from ASA trading, tender meat from Cleaver's, and a variety of the Danish classic porridge at "Grød" to name to just a few!
