This is a hike. You park at the entrance of Shelburne Farms and you hike in along the path which ends at the Inn. Fairly flat and and 2 miles each way, you'll get to see the lake and the rolling hills of Vanderbilt estate.

The beer here is available elsewhere but this is on the list so you can drive over Route 17 (the App Gap) and into the pretty town of Waitsfield. Beer here, small shops, food at Mad Taco or Canteen Cremee.
