It's a true mining town seemingly captured in time. If you've ever wanted to drink beer from a reel saloon. This is the place for you. But even if you don't, you should still go. It's really an amazing sight to see.

It's a great place to escape the heat during the summer. The lake is gorgeous and so much fun to explore. There's great hikes all around the lake and you can rent boats for reasonable prices. Definitely a must.

Food scene
There's tons to do here for both adults and kids. For the adults, there's card tables, slot machines, live music and a great steakhouse. For the kids, they have a bowling alley and an arcade. We love coming to Black Oak and definitely recommend it, if that's your thing.

We love our downtown Twain Harte, for such a little town it packs seemingly endless fun. Tucked away behind 100+ foot pine trees, it is really a sight to see and has so much charm. During the summer there's live music every weekend either at the local bars and restaurants or at the park, and with our home located as close to downtown as it is, it means you can easily walk everywhere and not even break a sweat.
There's a great golf course and a mini golf course downtown, and tons of different places to eat. The restaurants in Twain Harte, overall are good. But they likely won't blow you away. If you are seeking amazing food, I would head to Sonora or the Seven Sisters Steak house in the Black Oak casino.

We love our downtown Twain Harte, for such a little town it packs seemingly endless fun. Tucked away behind 100+ foot pine trees, it is really a sight to see and has so much charm.
